Expansion Draft: Who Are You Protecting?

The NHL is hoping to have 1 or 2 expansion teams in play by the 2017-18 season. Currently, the only cities in play are Quebec City and Las Vegas, with Sin City being the early frontrunner, at this point.

Though the final parameters are still to be decided upon for a potential expansion draft, early talk has laid out the following framework, giving a glimpse of what might lie in store:

First or second year pros will be exempt from the draft. Unsigned and drafted players are exempt for two years after their draft year. Teams can protect seven forwards, three defenseman and one goaltender or just eight total skaters and one goaltender. There is no current scenario where a team can protect two goaltenders.

With that in mind, who would make your list if you were running the New Jersey Devils? Mine is posted below.

F- Adam Henrique, Kyle Palmieri, Joseph Blandisi, Devante Smith-Pelly

D- Adam Larsson, Damon Severson, Andy Greene, David Schlemko (assuming he's re-signed; if not, put Moore here, instead)

G- Cory Schneider

I felt the need to go with the 8 skaters, instead of 7-3 after I couldn't come up with more than 4 F's I could care about losing. The obvious hope is losing Zajac, though I could handle losing all of the extra years of Cammalleri's deal, as well.

What say you, Devils fans? What does your list look like?
