Connor Chatham was held off the scoresheet with a -3 rating, 11 PIM, and 7 shots over the course of Windsor's 3 games last week. He has just 2 goals and 2 assists in 11 games since joining Windsor in a more limited role than what he had in Flint. Chatham hasn't scored in 7 games and has just 1 assist during that time.
Pavel Zacha had 2 goals and 2 assists along with a +1 rating, 2 PIM, 8 shots, and won 18 of 40 faceoffs in 3 games for Sarnia. He is in a bit of a goal slump with 2 goals over his last 8 games. Josh Jacobs had a goal and an assist against Flint on Friday. He finished the week with a +3 rating and 7 shots across Sarnia's 3 games.
Blake Speers had a goal against Saginaw on Friday and an assist against Kitchener on Sunday. He finished the week with a -3 rating, 5 shots, and won 13 of 24 faceoffs across Sault Ste. Marie's 2 games last week. Colton White finished the week a +2 with 3 shots.

John Quenneville played in all 3 of Brandon's games last week and finished with an assist, -2 rating, and 11 penalty minutes. I had the chance to watch him in Friday night's game against Edmonton. Quenneville was active all game in all 3 zones and had a handful of shots that were off target to go along with the 2 he had on goal. He showed a bit of toughness when he took a hard hit in the 2nd period, recovered quickly, and then got into his 4th fight of the season.
Ryan Rehill missed last week's games for Kamloops with an undisclosed injury. According to News Kamloops, it appears he won't feature in any of their games this week as he didn't travel with the team.
Brandon Baddock had 2 assists against Brandon on Friday and an goal against Kootenay on Sunday. He finished the week with a +2 rating and 2 PIM. Baddock had a fine game against Brandon, as you would expect from an overager. He had a breakaway in the 1st that drew a penalty, kept the puck alive, which led to Edmonton's opening goal on the delayed call. He also set up Edmonton's 2nd and 3rd goals with passes to the front of the net from below the end line. He also provided a screen on Edmonton's 4th goal. While this was a fine performance, it's what he should be doing and it doesn't really change my opinion of him as a prospect that is unlikely to ever contribute at the NHL level. He does have the grit and work ethic to carve out a nice minor league career for himself though.

Alex Kerfoot continues to be an assist machine skating alongside Jimmy Vesey for Harvard. Kerfoot added 2 assists along with a +1 rating and won 12 of 17 faceoffs against Princeton on Friday. Last night he had an assist along with a +1 rating, 2 shots, and won 7 of 21 faceoffs in Harvard's loss against Boston College in the semifinals of the Beanpot.
Boston College played twice last week, notably defeating Harvard in the aforementioned Beanpot semifinals. Santini finished the week with an assist, even rating, 2 shots, and 3 blocks over the course of BC's 2 games. Miles Wood had 2 assists against Notre Dame on Friday but was held off the scoresheet against Harvard last night. He finished the week a +2 with 2 PIM and 4 shots. JD Dudek continued to be a scratch for BC. Boston College will take on Boston University for the Beanpot Championship next Monday.
Last Wednesday, Jeff Cox of SBN College Hockey wrote about the Top 10 NHL Prospects among Hockey East Defensemen. He ranked Santini #2 and here is an excerpt (check out the link for the full report):
He's a pro-ready skater who can go from stopped to start quickly. He can really get on opposing players coming at him and moving around the zone and in transition. The threat of his physicality keeps a lot of opposing players from coming across the middle. He does make good passes in transition and has a strong shot from the point.
Yesterday, Jeff Cox wrote up a thorough preview for the Beanpot focusing on the NHL Prospects to Watch. He had the following on Santini and Wood:
Re Santini: BC juniors Ian McCoshen and Steve Santini are two of the top NHL prospects in all of college hockey. They don't put up the offensive numbers or have the flare to their styles that wow the casual observer, but no two players in college hockey are as NHL ready.
Re Wood: The son of former NHLer Randy Wood, the Manchester, Mass. native has been one of the top three forwards for BC this season. He's incredibly quick and has been a force on the forecheck. He can blow past defenders, but he can also grind it out.
Brett Seney was held off the scoresheet with a -2 rating and while winning 5 of 16 faceoffs for Merrimack against Boston University on Friday. He enjoyed Merrimack's rout of Arizona State as he had 3 assists and finished a +3 with 2 PIM.

Scott Wedgewood left Wednesday night's game against Hershey in the 3rd period and will likely be out 4 weeks with a right shoulder injury according to the Times Union.
Transactions: It was a busy week for Albany with player movment, some of which were essentially paper moves. Sergey Kalinin was "sent down" on 1/26 so NJ could call up Marc-Andre Gragnani. Kalinin was recalled the following day with Seth Helgeson, Reid Boucher, Gragnani, and Blandisi being sent down for the NHL All-Star Break. On 1/28 Ken Appleby was reassigned to Albany due to Scott Wedgewood's injury. Yesterday Blandisi, Boucher, and Helgeson were recalled by New Jersey. Only Boucher played for the ADevils during the NHL's All-Star break as Blandisi and Helgeson were there strictly to practice.

Ben Johnson and Ken Appleby are currently with the ADevils. Joe Faust played in both of Adirondack's games against Reading last week and added an assist and +1 rating to his season totals.
Prospect of the Week
I'm going to mix it up a bit and give this week's honors to Alex Kerfoot. He had 3 assists (though 1 was an empty net) over 2 games for Harvard last week. He has 21 assists in 19 games on the year and his 1.11 assists per game rate ranks 3rd in the country. I also find it encouraging that he's getting the job done at both even strength (13 points) and on the PP (10 points). While he is playing with the very talented Jimmy Vesey, he's once again proving that he belongs as Harvard's top playmaker for a second year in a row.
ADevil of the Week
Reid Boucher earns this week's honors after scoring 3 goals in 2 games for Albany during the NHL's All-Star break. It's nice to see him go down there and produce as he seemed to just be finding his footing at the NHL level prior to the break. He's already been recalled by New Jersey and hopefully he will be able to carry this production over to the top level.
Your Take
Did you get a chance to watch the Brandon - Edmonton game on NHL Network on Friday night? My apologies for not mentioning it would be broadcasted in last week's post, it was a simple oversight on my part. If you did see the game, what did you think of Quenneville and Baddock? What are your thoughts on Zacha's season so far? Leave your comments below and thank you for reading!
