As reported by Andrew Gross of Fire and Ice, the Devils will be down two skaters for their game on Thursday against the Capitals, with more to follow.
Center Vern Fiddler will be out for 3-4 weeks with a lower body injury sustained in last Tuesday’s lost to Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile, LW Taylor Hall is out on a day-to-day basis with a lower body injury of his own. Hall’s injury is reportedly not related to the arthroscopic knee surgery he underwent back in November.
Josefson Close to Return?
The Devils may see Jacob Josefson return, as he is practicing with the team and being evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
Jacob Josefson (concussion/IR), who skated w/Devs for 2nd straight day, will be re-evaluated tomorrow before decision on whether he'll play.

This would at least bring back one center to the Devils’ lineup.
When it rains...
The Devils are not having a great time as of late. This news certainly doesn’t help matters much.
But hey, here’s a clip of Fiddler standing up for Hall!
