The Song for the Night: Given the season, a Christmas song is appropriate. Here’s a sort-of modern classic called “Oi to the World,” the title track of The Vandals’ Christmas album. It was written by Joe Escalante and originally performed by The Vandals with Dave Quackenbush trying to sing with an English accent. It gained even more notice when it was covered by No Doubt when they were getting massive after Tragic Kingdom came out.
