Well, we've had #Kovalgate, so we might as well have #Scottgate, because why not? Remember how fans voted John Scott into the NHL All-Star Game? On Friday the Coyotes traded the enforcer to the Canadiens, where he was sent to the AHL, thus making him ineligible for the game. Seems strange, doesn't it? [Cross Checks]
John Scott was previously asked by both NHL and Arizona Coyotes to bow out of NHL All-Star Game. He refused. Trade likely takes care of that— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) January 15, 2016
While this feels a little tempest-in-a-teapot-y, it does suck for Scott, who didn't do anything wrong here if he was, in fact, traded because he refused to bow out.
