Ryan Kujawinski continued to play well since his trade to North Bay as he added three goals and three assists over three games last week. Connor Chatham had a decent week with two goals over three games for Plymouth. Joseph Blandisi notched two goals and two assists over three games for Barrie and is currently fifth in the OHL in scoring.

John Quenneville had his four game scoring streak snapped as he left in the third period of Saturday's game against Moose Jaw after taking a hit from Jesse Shynkaruk who was assessed a major penalty for interference and a game misconduct. According to this report, Quenneville was "woozy" after the hit and had to be helped off the ice after suffering a suspected concussion. No update on his condition as of Monday night.

Ryan Rehill played in two games for Kamloops last week and was suspended for one due to getting into a fight nine seconds into Wednesday's contest against Seattle and earning a game misconduct. As usual, Hockey Fights has the fight on YouTube if you want to watch it. Meanwhile, Brandon Baddock was held to just one assist over three games for Edmonton. Baddock did earn praise from the Edmonton Journal for his defensive play:

Outside the pipes, Brandon Baddock was a defensive rock — keeping Kelowna’s top line of Justin Kirkland, Rodney Southam, and Leon Draisaitl in check — all while contributing an assist of his own.

The Oil Kings had a game plan to keep the NHL expat under wraps, blanketing him with the six-foot-four Baddock. Edmonton’s burly centre saw the ice for nearly every shift the 210-pound German took.

"We wanted strength on strength in the faceoff circle, Baddock is a physical guy, he has a pretty big personal bubble," Hamilton said. "For him we want that edginess in his game, and just try to physically match Leon’s strength."

Anthony Brodeur gave up five goals in his only start of the week against Sherbrooke on Wednesday. According to this tweet from Le Journal L'Express, he picked up a shoulder injury.

Blake Coleman was held without a point in a tie against Western Michigan. He did manage to put up an impressive seven shots and has a nice 3.65 SH/GP this season. His offensive production is a bit down compared to last year when he had an insanely high 17.27 SH% to go along with a 4.07 SH/GP rate. His 11.90 SH% this season is certainly more normal.

Blake Pietila had a great weekend with a goal, four assists, and 65.12 FO% against a weak Alabama Huntsville team that is 7-18-3 with a -46 goal differential. It's great to see him produce but context is important. Pietila now has a six game scoring streak with five goals and six assists during that span.

Steve Santini was an even with a shot and a block against Providence in his only action of the week. Joshua Jacobs was an even with two shots against Michigan in his only game of the week. Alexander Kerfoot remains out of action with an "upper body" injury and hasn't played since 11/29. According to The Crimson, Kerfoot is back on the ice skating but in non-contact drills.

Artur Gavrus has been a scratch for Dinamo Minsk lately and it looks like he played another game in the Belarus Extraliga for Dinamo Molodechno on 1/25. In that game he scored twice and had six shots. In three games for Dinamo Molodechno he has two goals, four assists, and eight shots.

Joey Dudek had a strong game for Dubuque against Muskegon on Friday as he scored a goal and added an assist with three shots. He followed that up the next night by going scoreless with two shots in what has been a frustrating season in the USHL. Miles Wood was noted as a player to watch by SBN College Hockey as the New England Prep season is coming down to the final stretch.

Myles Bell snapped a six game scoring drought when he added an assist in back-to-back games against Gwinnett. I'd really like to see him start producing more and being consistent. Eric Baier picked up an assist in a game against South Carolina on Friday.

Alexandre Carrier and Maxime Clermont have remained with Albany.

Prospect of the Week

Blake Pietila had a great week for Michigan Tech but I'm choosing Ryan Kujawinski for prospect of the week since his competition was tougher. Kujawinski scored three goals to go along with three assists over three games last week. He is now on a four game scoring streak if you add an assist to those totals. In twelve games with the Battalion he has eight goals and six assists. CHL Stats has his estimated Time on Ice at 27.57 and his estimated Points per 60 at 2.01.

ADevil of the Week

Brandon Burlon picks up this week's honors. The good news for him is that he's having a career year. The bad news is that he's doing it at age 24 and in an organization that has young defensemen already contributing in the NHL and with quality prospects in college. Last week, he had added a goal and two assists to his totals. He has two goals and four assists over his last seven games. Burlon leads the ADevils defense in scoring with 21 points which is good for fourth on the team. He's been about equally effective at even strength (3-6-9) as he's been on the powerplay (1-10-11). He may not have a NHL future in New Jersey but he does seem to be carving out a nice AHL career for himself.

Prospects on TV

If you get NESN then you are in luck as the Beanpot takes place this week.

-- Tuesday 2/3: Harvard (Kerfoot, if healthy) vs. Boston University at 5 PM ET on NESN.

-- Tuesday 2/3: Boston College (Santini) vs. Northeastern at 8 PM ET on NESN.

-- Saturday 2/7: Michigan State (Jacobs) vs. Michigan at 8 PM ET on the Big Ten Network.

-- Monday 2/9: Beanpot Championship at 7:30 PM ET on NESN.

Your Take

Are your satisfied with the continued offensive production out of the OHL prospects? Does reading about Baddock's defensive game alter your opinion of him as a prospect?
