Devils knock off Red Wings 4-3
New Jersey picks up their first win in four games and improves to a 17-13-5 record after tonights win in Detroit. Other than Kyle Palmieri's power play tally (6ppg) tonights goal scores were not your typical players. Tootoo, Schlemko, Kalinin each recorded an even strength goal. If someone was to say the Devils would win without Adam Henrique and Mike Cammalleri recording a single shot, you would call them a lier. Nevertheless the team still managed to score four times and find a way to pick up two points. While it's good to see that the team can win without #13 and #14 contributing, it's discouraging to see those players shutout. Cory Schneider again was impressive and kept the team "in the game" despite scoring a substantial four goals. This was the last game before the Christmas break, and the Devils will be on the ice next in Carolina on Saturday. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all! (video via NHL.com)
