The Broadcast: TV - MSG+; Radio - 660 AM & 101.9 FM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (13-19-7) vs. the Montreal Canadiens (24-11-2; SBN Blog: Habs Eyes on the Prize)
The Previews: My preview from this morning is right here. For the opposition's side, here is this preview by Ian Murray at Habs Eyes on the Prize.
The Song for Tonight: For no reason in particular, here is "Physical Education" by Animals as Leaders.
The Gameday Info: Whole lot of gameday information for NJ. According to Tom Gulitti at Fire & Ice, the starter will be Keith Kinkaid; Eric Gelinas is sick; Steve Bernier's injury isn't serious but he's out tonight; Mike Sislo and Stefan Matteau are demoted; and Michael Ryder, Martin Havlat, and Patrik Elias may all return to the lineup. Yes, the Devils will have at least seven NHL forwards in their top nine tonight. Sislo would have to go through waivers so Joe Whitney may be temporarily demoted to make room for all three of Ryder, Havlat, and Elias. Still, it's good to see players return. Montreal isn't so active with the changes. Stu Cowan reported at Hockey Inside/Out that Carey Price will start in net and the Canadiens will make no other changes to their lineup since the Florida game.
The Reminder of Rules: This is a place where you can comment about this game before, during, and after it's played before the recap is up. This is a place where we primarily discuss the Devils game. An odd mention of other NHL games is OK, but it shouldn't dominate discussion. All comments will be clean, respectful of each other, relevant to the game, and legal (read: no streams). Please refrain from super-big pictures (640 x 480 max) and NO .GIFs whatsoever to keep the gamethread moving for everyone.
Go Devils.
