New Jersey Devils Podcast Talking Red: Episode #121

On this week's episode of Talking Red, the 2013 edition of Free Agency Frenzy just happened and the New Jersey Devils were active. Hear what David Sarch, Dan Pennucci, and John Fischer thought of what the Devils did and what will happen next.

Free Agency Frenzy has come and gone and the New Jersey Devils were quite active in the days before - and now after - July 5. It should be of no surprise that David Sarch, Dan Pennucci, and myself spent plenty of time talking about the newest Devils on this week's episode of Talking Red. We go over Ryane Clowe and his poor contract. We mention Rostislav Olesz and why it's not a bad risk at all. We gush about the Michael Ryder signing. We touch on the Devils re-signing Patrik Elias prior. We ponder who the Devils were going to trade after they ended July 5. We did record this on July 6 so we hope we look smart if we said it should've been Tallinder because his contract just got dumped to Buffalo. We mention other moves made throughout the league like David Clarkson going to Toronto (how can we live without David?) and forgot about the cheap Viktor Stalberg deal. We even discuss whether the Devils are better now than they were weeks ago. (Spoiler: Yes.)

I'd like to thank David for having me on again. I assure David that I would not leave for stupidly big money from Toronto. Anyway, the standard methods for listening to this week's show apply. You can get it directly from the Talking Red website. You can go to iTunes or Stitcher and find the show there. You can even stay here and listen to a stream of it.
