Today's news is all over the sports world and it came out of nowhere like a sucker punch to the face. Ilya Kovalchuk has announced his retirement from the New Jersey Devils and the NHL. Notice I didn't type "from hockey." According to this post at Puck Daddy by Greg Wyshynski, Pavel Lysenkov of SovSport reports that he's going to get a mint to play for SKA St. Petersburg. The news was so big, David Sarch and Dan Pennucci got together and threw together a special episode of Talking Red to share all their feelings about. I was at work so I couldn't be a part of it. I have no idea of the content so listener beware.
I do thank David and Dan for getting something out there on incredibly short notice and share the many feelings, mostly negative, about this news. As they should be. The usual methods to listen to this show apply. You can get it at TR, iTunes, or Stitcher. Or you can stay here and listen to it all. I'll be listening along with you as I try to put all of my thoughts together about this news in a post suitable for this site.
Thank you for listening.
