The Time: 7:30 PM EDT
The Broadcast: TV - MSG+; Radio - 660 AM & 101.9 FM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (15-11-7) at the Tampa Bay Lightning (14-18-1)
The Game Preview: My preview from this morning is right here.
The Song for Tonight: Chuck Schuldiner is a genius. He wrote "1,000 Eyes," which was a part of Death's spectacular 1995 album Symbolic. It was very prescient considering the state of the Internet and how many use it today in 2013.
Gamenight Info: According to this post by Tom Gulitti at Fire & Ice, all three probables from yesterday's practice will play tonight. Bryce Salvador, Stephen Gionta, and Alexei Ponikarovsky will be in the lineup. So will Mark Fayne. Surprise! Gulitti reported that Adam Larsson will get the night off. I'm fine with the move since Larsson has struggled in recent games. A night off to get his mind right could do him and the team good. Hopefully it won't be one-and-done for Fayne. He deserves a leash as long as, say, Peter Harrold. Lastly, Martin Brodeur is starting tonight.
As for the Lightning, Matt Brigidi wrote at SBNation.com/NHL today that Martin St. Louis will not be traded according to GM Steve Yzerman. Clearly, he'll be playing tonight.
The Reminder of Rules: This is a place where you can comment about this game before, during, and after it's played before the recap is up. This is a place where we primarily discuss the Devils game. An odd mention of other NHL games is OK, but it shouldn't dominate discussion. All comments will be clean, respectful of each other, relevant to the game, and legal (read: no streams). Please do not post super-big pictures or .GIFs so the gamethread can keep moving for everyone. If you must use pictures, please put a title in the comment. But no .GIFs. There will not be happy times if .GIFs are posted.
I'll be active on commentary here and through @InLouWeTrust on Twitter. Let's go Devils. They are all big games with more than 1,000 eyes watching now.
