New Jersey Devils at Ottawa Senators: Gamethread #33

This is the gamethread for tonight's game between the New Jersey Devils and the Ottawa Senators. This is a post where users can discuss what happens before, during, and after the game.

The Time: 7:30 PM EDT

The Broadcast: TV - MSG+; Radio - 660 AM & 101.9 FM WFAN

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (15-11-6) at the Ottawa Senators (17-9-6)

The Game Previews: My preview from much earlier today is right here. For the opposition-based perspective, Peter Raaymakers at Silver Seven

The Possible Opportunity for You: Are you a member of ILWT? Are you ever saying to yourself something like, "I sure would like to make these Gamethreads regularly and even moderate them during games if there was ever an opportunity?" If so, then email me and convince me that you can do both.

The Song for Tonight: Let's get instrumental. Straight out of Belfast, this band is called And So I Watch You From Afar. The song has the "heh" inducing title like so many math rock songs called "If It Ain't Broke...Break It"

The Gamenight Info: At the Ottawa Citizen's Senators Extra site, Ken Warren confirmed that the only change to the Senators' roster from Saturday's game will be in net. Ben Bishop will start tonight. As for the Devils' lineup, there are obvious changes at forward with Ilya Kovalchuk out of the lineup. Tom Gulitti reported at Fire & Ice that Matt D`Agostini will lineup with Adam Henrique and Andrei Loktionov. With Patrik Elias, Travis Zajac, and David Clarkson together, I'd call that unit the first line and Loktionov's the second if you must have such a nomenclature. CBGB will stay in place with Harri Pesonen joining Tim Sestito and Tom Kostopoulos as the fourth line. The defense and goaltender from Saturday's game will remain unchanged.

The Reminder of Rules: This is a place where you can comment about this game before, during, and after it's played before the recap is up. This is a place where we primarily discuss the Devils game. An odd mention of other NHL games is OK, but it shouldn't dominate discussion. All comments will be clean, respectful of each other, relevant to the game, and legal (read: no streams). Please do not post super-big pictures or .GIFs so the gamethread can keep moving for everyone. If you must use pictures, please put a title in the comment. But no .GIFs. There will not be happy times if .GIFs are posted.

I'll be active on commentary here and through @InLouWeTrust on Twitter. Let's go Devils. They are all big games now.
