New Jersey Devils at Philadelphia Flyers: Gamethread #28

The New Jersey Devils will visit the Philadelphia Flyers for the first time this season and have a shot at three straight wins. Discuss the game before, during, and after it happens tonight in this gamethread.

The Time: 7:00 PM EDT

The Broadcast: TV - MSG+, NHL Network US, RDS; Radio - 660 AM & 101.9 FM WFAN

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (13-9-5) at the Philadelphia Flyers (12-15-1)

The Game Previews: My preview for tonight's game is right here. For the opposition perspective, Travis Hughes has this preview at Broad Street Hockey, where he states his expectations for the Flyers are officially lowered.

The Song for Tonight: This is "The Wolf" by The Banner from their 2008 album Frailty. I'm sure there were better selections but this one goes hard after a slow, building intro. For all we know, that could be how tonight's game goes.

Gametime Info: The Devils will make no changes to their lineup from Wednesday night according to Peter DeBoer, as reported in this post by Tom Gulitti at Fire & Ice. The Flyers will make one change and it is on defense. Luke Schenn is feeling better and will play tonight based on this post by Sam Carchidi at Philly.com. If I were to guess who sits for him, then I would think it's Kurtis Foster would sit since Foster was Schenn's game-time replacement on Wednesday. We'll see. Oh, and their GM gave the team the old "hair dryer" treatment according to that same article. Expect a livid Flyers team tonight.

The Reminder of Rules: This is a place where you can comment about this game before, during, and after it's played before the recap is up. This is a place where we primarily discuss the Devils game. An odd mention of other NHL games is OK, but it shouldn't dominate discussion. All comments will be clean, respectful of each other, relevant to the game, and legal (read: no streams). Please do not post super-big pictures or .GIFs so the gamethread can keep moving for everyone. If you must use pictures, please put a title in the comment.

I'll chime in here and through @InLouWeTrust on Twitter. Let's go Devils!
