Yes, even with a mid-week episode last week, David Sarch and I got together to put together another episode of the New Jersey Devils podcast Talking Red as usual. Unfortunately, it wasn't the slow show we expected with today's news that Larry Robinson has been hired by San Jose. So we discussed that as well as whether we want Petr Sykora back and answered several questions from listeners like you in the first part. In the second part, David had the chance to interview Devils broadcaster Sherry Ross. You know her as the color commentator on the Devils radio broadcasts on WFAN. She gave her take on the team we just saw, various Devils in question, her own career, and a guy named Zach Parise.
A big thanks goes to Sherry Ross for taking the time to talk with David. Thanks again to David for having me on. There are a number of ways to listen to this show. You can get it directly at the Talking Red website. You can get it at iTunes of Stitcher. You can even continue on after the jump to listen to a stream of it here. Either way, this show is 1:01:30 long and 28.15 MB large. Here's David's description of this episode:
On this week's episode, David and John were planning on getting together for a quiet week but things changed quickly. They discuss news of Larry Robinson deciding to leave the team and whether or not the Devils should resign Petr Sykora. They also take on some listener questions, addressing trade and free agent rumors, the future of Devils goaltending, and the role of Mattias Tedenby. After that David interviews Sherry Ross, one of the Devils' radio commentators. She shares her opinion on the team this year, Zach Parise, and about her career.
Please feel free to leave any comments or questions about this week's episode in the comments to this post in addition to hitting up the Talking Red email (talkingred at gmail dot com) or Twitter (@TalkingRed). Thanks for listening.
