The Songs for Tonight: You know, instead of saying it's all gravy for the Devils, why can't we replace it with pie? That's what I thought when I was listening to one of my favorite songs: "Slice Where You Live Like Pie" by Don Caballero. Here's the studio version from What Burns Never Returns; and here's a live version from 1997 so you can at least see how crazy Damon Che is with a drum set.
If you want something less math-y and more metalcore-y, then here's "Meddler" by August Burns Red. I've listened to this song on repeat when I've head out to each home game during this postseason. Hopefully, I'll get to do it at least one more time.
Gameday Info: The Devils will make two changes to their roster for tonight's game. Tom Gulitti confirmed at Fire & Ice this morning that Petr Sykora will replace Jacob Josefson and Henrik Tallinder will replace Peter Harrold. With Josefson scratched, it's expected that Patrik Elias will center Sykora and Dainius Zubrus; while Adam Henrique centers Alexei Ponikarovsky and David Clarkson and Travis Zajac will center Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise. On defense, the third pairing would be Tallinder and Anton Volchenkov. The Kings are not expected to make any changes, based on this post by Andrew Gross at Fire & Ice.
The Reminder to Be Excellent to Each Other: I know quite a few people are going to be a bit on edge for this game myself included. Feelings and emotions will be running high. Still, remember that I and the other users commenting aren't the ones playing this game. There's no need to get salty among ourselves or against any trolls from other places. Seriously, don't feed any trolls of any kind, don't get mad that people are/aren't being negative/positive, and don't troll Jewels From the Crown. Punishment there can/will be brought over here.
Additionally, please don't post any .GIFs and large images in this Gamethread. That will help keep this post going smoothly for everyone, either on a computer or a mobile device. It's another way of being excellent.
