The Series: The New Jersey Devils (3) at the Philadelphia Flyers (1)
The Last Devils vs. Flyers Game: The Devils routed the Flyers at The Rock in game four. John has the recap here, and Travis Hughes has a recap for the opposition. In short: the Devils outshot, out-possessed, and out-powered the Flyers in a series defining game four. The Devils now have a three games to one series lead that could be the start of the end for the Flyers.
The Goal: I can't stress enough the importance of coming out like this is game seven of the series. This game will be extremely demanding for every single player on the Devils roster. The goal is to not sit back. The Flyers still have an explosive offense; it has just been idle. The Devils skaters cannot assume someone else will step up, they all need to take it on their own shoulders and play their hearts out.

Big News: Claude Giroux is out of game five for his vicious hit on Dainius Zubrus in game 4. John has a nice recap of the suspension here. For the Devils, I say tread carefully. This could be a blessing in disguise for the Flyers. The Devils offense exploded when Ilya Kovalchuk sat out, the Flyers offense could do the same. Overall, this is good news, the league is doing their job and the Flyers have lost their all-star top scorer.
Devils Players Update: Zubrus is OK after Giroux's hit and will suit up and play Tuesday night. In other news, Ryan Carter came down with food poisoning but will be ready to play for Tuesday's game five. Everything else is the same as of right now. In other news, Jacob Josefson, the glass hockey player, will have his cast taken off tomorrow, but is still weeks from returning.
Flyers Players Update: Sam Carchidi, one of the Flyers beat writers believes that Rinaldo will get the call up to fill Giroux's spot.
Viewing Party: There will be a viewing party at the Prudential Center for the game at 7:30. Doors open at 7 and the game will be broadcasted on the video board. You can sit in the Ice Lounge and enjoy the experience. If you want to go, fill out the form here.
What should the fans expect? The Flyers will come out desperate and all around demoralized and will try anything to win this game. They will be finishing every check and fighting for every puck. Do not forget the Flyers came back from a 0-3 series and were the third team in the history of the NHL to win four in a row in the playoffs just a few years ago. Nothing is impossible.
What is your final prediction for game five? Will the Devils offensive surge continue? Will the suspension of Giroux be a blessing for the Devils or a blessing for the Flyers? Thanks for reading, and one final note before the game.... Swarm It Up!
