The Series Preview: Here's the big series preview breaking down the forwards, defensemen, goaltenders, and other observations between the two teams. Therefore, this post is just a short one for all of the more recent information and thoughts heading into this game.
The Game Specific Goal: I have two game specific goals for the Devils. One is fairly obvious: WIN. You don't want the Flyers to keep home ice. It will also be a huge boost for the Devils to come back from Philly with a tied series. Second, The Devils need to stay out of the penalty box. Philadelphia is a much more talented team than the Florida Panthers. You will get burned sometimes, *AHEM* Peter Harrold and Ilya Kovalchuk, but you can't take a bunch of stupid penalties. While our PK isn't terrible so far this series, we can't afford to take this many penalties against Philadelphia.

As for the updates to the Devils lines, there are none. Peter DeBoer told Tom Gulitti that he would sleep on the line combinations. However, there is news on the injury front. Ilya Kovalchuk attended "therapy" yesterday for a ghost injury. However, he will meet with the team tomorrow in Philadelphia. What does this mean for the Devils? Who knows, but there is a chance Kovalchuk won't play. What does this mean? The team will need to fill the 20+ minutes of ice time that Kovalchuk plays each night. For the optimists out there, perhaps the therapy helped. But that's just speculation.

What can the Devils expect to be different from game one of the series?
- A full 60 minute effort from the Flyers. The Flyers won't be shaking off the rust in the first 20 minutes.
- The Devils can expect Ilya Bryzgalov to more concrete in net.
What will be the same as game one?
- The crowd will still be borderline psycho, or actually psycho, depends how you feel about Philly fans.
- The offense onslaught from the Flyers will continue.
