The Clinching Situation: The Devils just need one point out of tonight's game to clinch a playoff berth. If they lose in regulation, they can still clinch a spot if Washington and Buffalo both do not win tonight. Let's keep it simple and hope for a result in this game.
A Song For Tonight: How many of you remember IDK? Well, the principal man behind it, Anthony "Red" Paladino and Tom Conti got together with some other scene veterans to form a new group called Ripface Invasion. If you like dig that East Coast hardcore/thrash/punk crossover sound, then you'll like them. This is their first single from their self-titled debut EP: "The Last One on Earth."
Gameday Info: Adam Larsson will not return to the lineup today. As reported in this post by Tom Gulitti at Fire & Ice, the rookie defenseman told the press he'll be a healthy scratch tonight. This means a third game for Peter Harrold and he'll likely start (but not necessarily finish) with Anton Volchenkov. Chip Alexander of the News & Observer reported this afternoon that Brian Boucher will start in net for the Hurricanes and the rest of their lineup will remain the same.
