Gameday Info: Anton Volchenkov will return to the lineup tonight. Adam Larsson will not and Matt Taormina will join him as a healthy scratch. Tom Gulitti at Fire & Ice confirmed all of this news early this afternoon. Since Peter Harrold is getting another game, I suspect he'll be paired with Volchenkov. We'll see.
Based on Gulitti's report from the Devils' morning skate, Peter DeBoer is still tinkering with the forward lines. Travis Zajac will apparently center Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk; Petr Sykora is re-united with Patrik Elias & Dainius Zubrus; Adam Henrique will center the third line; and Jacob Josefson gets moved down to the fourth line. We shall see if these lines are successful. I have to emphasize that it's lines because it really is more than just putting Zajac with Parise and Kovalchuk.
The Lightning just signed J.T. Brown from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Unfortunately for Chico and other Bulldog fans, he won't play tonight. According to Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times, the Lightning will debut him on Saturday. Oh, and Cristodero also reported yesterday that Vincent Lecavalier will play tonight after missing 18 games with a broken hand. That is more than kind of a big deal. Lastly, count on Dwayne Roloson to start tonight based on this Thursday afternoon report from Cristodero. I am pleased with this development.
