New Jersey Devils vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - Gamethread #75

The Time: 7:00 PM EDT

The Broadcast: TV - MSG+; Radio - 660 AM WFAN

The Game: The New Jersey Devils (42-27-5) vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs (32-34-8)

The Previews: My preview from much, much earlier this morning is right here. For the opposition's perspective and opinions on tanks, please visit Pension Plan Puppets.

A Song for Tonight: If you're in a band under the age of 18 and you manage to win the Best Young Band at the 2011 Asbury Music Awards, then you have some serious skills because the Asbury scene isn't exactly tiny. The band in question is the Fish Tank Mafia. They've performed covers but they have a few original songs which can be described as progressive metal. Here's one of their original songs: "Subside." Remember: these kids are still in high school - they're only going to get better. (Also, it was the first band from NJ I could find with tank in their name.)

Gameday Info: Tom Gulitti reported earlier this afternoon at Fire & Ice that Peter DeBoer will use the same lineup from the Ottawa game tonight except Martin Brodeur will start in net. That means Cam Janssen and Matt Taormina will be scratched. Travis Zajac's return to the lineup will be on some other day. Legendary reporter James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail noted on Twitter last night that the Leafs called up Nazem Kadri and Ryan Hamilton to fill in for Matt Frattin and Clarke MacArthur have day-to-day injuries.

Please use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times. Namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic, and keep them legal (read: nothing about illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests). I'll provide the occasional comment here as well as a tweet here and there at @InLouWeTrust. Go Devils!
