Talking Red: Season 2, Episode 16, Doc Emrick Interview

This morning, David Sarch, Ryan Lucas, and myself got together to discuss the recent week in New Jersey Devils hockey on Talking Red. We talked about their 2-1-1 week; their woes against Ottawa and Boston; their successes against Florida and Pittsburgh; and talked quite a bit about the power play and the bottom six forwards among other issues. That's not all. Later this afternoon, David and Ryan interviewed legendary broadcaster and beloved New Jersey Devils play-by-play announcer Dr. Mike Emrick. As a result, this week's episode is larger than usual at 65.89 MB and 1:11:58 long. Here's the direct link to the show at the TR website; and now David's description of the show:

On this weeks episode David is joined by John and Ryan. The episode is highlighted by an interview with Mike "Doc" Emrick. He talks about some of his favorite Devils memories, how he became the announcer he is today and addresses Chico's 10 hot dog night in Montreal plus much more. The crew also talk about the 4 Devils games this week and the coaches' changes to the power play and the third and fourth line.

As usual, you can email your comments and questions to talkingred at gmail dot com, tweet them to @TalkingRed, or just leave them here in the comments of this post. We appreciate Doc taking the time out of his very busy schedule to talk hockey on Talking Red. Thank you, Dr. Emrick.

After the jump is a stream of this week's episode. Remember, Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 9 PM will be a live episode of Talking Red. Please check out this FanPost for more details.

Thank you for listening.
