The Congratulations: Patrik Elias will play his 1,000th career game tonight. Congratulations!

Talking Red Live Reminder: 1/10/2012 - 7:30 to 9 PM EDT - Live hockey talk - Details here.

A Song for Tonight: Dog Eat Dog came out of Bergen County, and they stormed the local scene and the world - or at least Europe. Their 1994 album All Boro Kings was a break out hit for the group and established their sound. "Who's The King?" is one of the singles from the album that really showcases what Dog Eat Dog was about: a hardcore band that incorporated a saxophone and rap. By the way, that's Darryl Jenifer of Bad Brains appearing for a verse on this track in the middle.

Gameday Info: Tom Gulitti was the bearer of some bad news this morning. Travis Zajac and Anton Volchenkov will not play tonight and it's unknown whether they'll travel with the team to Pittsburgh. Not only that, Mattias Tedenby will be a healthy scratch. Not that Tedenby has been great or important, but he's still way better than Eric Boulton, Tim Sestito, or Cam Janssen. Per Gulitti's report, your bottom six is Tim Sestito, Steve Zalewski (making his debut), and David Clarkson on one line; and Boulton, Ryan Carter, and Janssen on the other. The top two forward lines better have good nights because the bottom two just look poor on paper. Talk about not playing your best available lineup. As for the Panthers, George Richards of the Miami Herald tweeted that the team put Bill Thomas on waivers and will send down Tim Kennedy, so it's expected that John Madden will play tonight. Krys Barch will also be in the lineup after serving a one-game suspension.

As usual, you can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times. Namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic, and keep them legal (read: nothing about illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests). Go Devils!
