In this episode of Talking Red, David Sarch, Tom Stivali, Jared Ramsden of Hockey's Future, and Mike Morreale of NHL.com all came together to discuss prospects in the New Jersey Devils' system as well as the upcoming 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Here's the direct link to the episode on the Talking Red website. This episode is bigger than usual, it's 49.18 MB large and 1:47:24 long. This includes a full 45-minute interview with Morreale at the end. Here's David's description of this final episode of this season:
For this season's last episode, David is joined by Tom of In Lou We Trust, Jared from Hockeys Future and special guest Mike Morreale from NHL.com. David discusses the prospects in the system with Tom and Jared including Mattias Tedenby, Jacob Josefson and Adam Henrique as well as some guys who are new to the system like Keith Kinkaid and Joe Sova. Finally, they talk to Mike about the number 4 pick in the draft and all of the different choices that face the Devils. Will a guy like Adam Larsson fall to the Devils? Should the Devils trade down in the draft? Answers to these questions and more are on this week's episode!
Special thanks to Mike for taking time to talk with us. You can check out his other work here.
Also please note that this episode is pretty long. We attached the full 45 minute interview with Mike at the end of the episode where he talks about wider draft issues such as who the Devils might want to look for in the later rounds of the draft, who is this year's Jeff Skinner, and what exactly constitutes a deep draft.
