The Time: 7:00 PM EST
The Broadcast: TV - MSG(HD); Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (30-31-4) vs. the Ottawa Senators (22-34-9)
The Previews: My preview from earlier in the morning is right here. For the opposition's take on tonight's game, please check out Silver Seven later this evening.
Gameday Info: The Devils held an optional practice as reported by Tom Gulitti this morning. Mattias Tedenby didn't show up. That's not the smartest of decisions by the rookie; though who knows if either he or Adam Mair will sit for Rod Pelley tonight. Via this post at Silver Seven, Team 1200 host Scott MacArthur reports that Colin Greening was called up by Ottawa today on an emergency basis. If MacArthur's other tweets are to go by, Mair may be scratched - but we'll know for sure by gametime.
A Song for Tonight: It's always a good time for Iron Maiden. Whether it's a good day, a bad day, a middling day, a hot night, a cold night, a game night, a lonely night, a party night, and all kinds of events. Maiden rules. This is "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" from one of the band's best albums: Somewhere in Time.
Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in today's game between the Islanders and the Devils. Not other games. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant (this means "on topic" for those of you who don't know what "relevant" means), and legal. If you want to be negative; fine, but do be rational as nobody needs any nonsense from anyone. Go Devils!
