The Time: 3:00 PM EST
The Broadcast: TV - MSG(HD); Radio - WFAN 660AM
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (29-31-4) vs. the New York Islanders (25-32-9)
The Previews: Matt's preview from earlier this morning is right here. For the opposition's take, Dominik has this gameday post at Lighthouse Hockey.
Gameday Info: The Devils didn't have a morning skate, but Tom Gulitti did tweet this afternoon that Mattias Tedenby will be back in the lineup. I'd expect Adam Mair to sit for him. Newsday's Katie Strang reports that Milan Jurcina will dress for the Islanders and goaltender Al Montoya will get the start - his second straight after the Isles' 5-2 win over St. Louis. Strang also noted that Mark Katic has been sent down to Bridgeport, the Islanders' AHL affiliate.
A Song for Today: This is "Teenage Illusion" by New York-based metal band Napalm. I really don't much about this group but their second album Zero to Black went in a funkier direction compared to their first. The bass is pretty sweet on this track. It really compliments the guitar work.
Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in today's game between the Islanders and the Devils. Not other games. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant (this means "on topic" for those of you who don't know what "relevant" means), and legal. If you want to be negative; fine, but do be rational as nobody needs any nonsense from anyone. Go Devils!
