The Time: 7:30 PM EDT
The Broadcast: TV - MSG+(HD); Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (33-32-4) at the Ottawa Senators (25-36-9)
The Previews: My preview from this morning is right here. For the opposition's point of view, check out Silver Seven later on.
Gameday Info: As Adnan linked to in this post at Silver Seven, Ottawa called up defenseman and former Devils draft pick David Hale and forward Roman Wick were called up from Binghamton - reported here by Scott MacArthur. Also from that post, confirmation from Ottawa of their starting goaltender tonight: Curtis McElhinney. Tom Gulitti reported the same thing, noting that Craig Anderson has a hand injury but will be able to back up McElhinney. Expect no changes from the Devils tonight. Gulitti confirmed earlier today that Martin Brodeur will start; and that Mark Fraser and Rod Pelley will be scratched again.
Congratulations: Travis Zajac will set a new franchise record for consecutive games played tonight.
A Song for Tonight: From the breakout album, Jailbreak, here's "Emerald" by Thin Lizzy. Dig those extended solo at the end.
Want to Discuss Other Games?: Don't do it here. This is the Gamethread for the Devils-Thrashers game. Talk about other games in the comments to this FanPost by user nyynygnjd. It worked well on Tuesday, so do it again.
Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in tonight's game between the Senators and the Devils. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant, and legal. If you want to be negative; fine, but do be rational as nobody needs any nonsense from anyone. Go Devils!
