The Time: 7:00 PM EDT
The Broadcast: TV - MSG; Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (12-12-1) at the Toronto Maple Leafs (15-10-2)
The Previews: My preview from way earlier this morning is right here. As for an opposition-based perspective, birky over at Pension Plan Puppets has this preview.
A Song for Tonight: If we're to say the Devils are in a funk, then we might as well listen and appreciate some good jams. Fortunately, one of the funkiest men alive grew up in Plainfield, NJ: George Clinton. There's a whole lot of of his work out there, so let's start with a classic. With Parliament, here's one of the classic examples of P-Funk: "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off This Sucker)" from the seminal album Mothership Connection.
Gameday Info: James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail and formerly of From the Rink has the Leafs' projected lineup tonight. As expected, James Reimer will start for the Leafs. Mirtle also took a picture of the Devils' whiteboard. That's your lineup for the Devils unless something drastic happens prior to the game starting. Tom Gulitti did see Bryce Salvador skate this morning, so it's pretty safe to say he'll play tonight after not practicing on Monday.
As usual, you can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up later tonight. Please remember the rules at all times, namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic (namely about the two teams in this game), and keep them legal (read: no illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests for one). Go Devils!
