The Time: 7:00 PM EST
The Broadcast: TV - MSG+2 (CBC in Canada); Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (5-5-1) vs. the Winnipeg Jets (5-6-1)
The Previews: My preview from way earlier this morning is right here. C.J. also got the scoring chances up from the Flyers-Devils game, so check that out too. For the opposition's side of this game, canadian texan has this preview up at Arctic Ice Hockey.
A Song for Tonight: The Devils are playing the ex-Thrashers tonight. It's then only appropriate to have a song by a thrash band from New Jersey. This is the title track off of Whiplash's third album Insult to Injury.
Gameday Info: The Devils had their morning skate and Tom Gulitti was there. He saw Ilya Kovalchuk and Andy Greene out for a bit, but that would be it. Gulitti confirmed at Fire & Ice that both Kovalchuk and Greene will be out tonight. We know what the defense will probably look like without Greene. With Kovalchuk sitting tonight out, David Clarkson is expected to play with Adam Henrique and Zach Parise; Mattias Tedenby has been moved up to play with Nick Palmieri and Ryan Carter; and Rod Pelley will enter the lineup on the fourth line. As for the Jets, their official site has reported that the team has called up defenseman Paul Postma; he'll likely get in the lineup in place of Randy Jones.
As usual, you can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times, namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic, and keep them legal (read: no illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests for one). Go Devils!
