The Time: 7:30 PM EDT
The Broadcast: TV - Versus, TSN2 (Sorry, no Doc Emrick); Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (8-7-1) at the Buffalo Sabres (11-6-0)
The Previews: Tom did the preview on this very site this morning; you can check it out right here. As for the opposition's viewpoint, Zachary Zielonka has this preview of the game over at Die by the Blade.
A Song for Tonight: What we need are more third wave ska bands from New Jersey. Well, no, not really. So here's one from about a decade or so ago: this is "Change of Plans" by Professor Plum.
Gameday Info: As reported by Tom Gulitti this morning at Fire & Ice, Ilya Kovalchuk will be back in the lineup. He will play with Zach Parise and Adam Henrique; and Nick Palmieri will move down to the third line. The odd man out is Mattias Tedenby. That is a bit of a disappointment since he played one of his best games last night. I would have preferred him on a fourth line opposite Vladimir Zharkov, but giving Tedenby less than 10 minutes may be a waste too. Everything else about the Devils is the same; Martin Brodeur will start in net for New Jersey. Dainius Zubrus will play his 1,000th career game tonight.
The Sabres will have a few changes in their line up. As reported today by John Vogl of the Buffalo News at the Sabres Edge blog, Tyler Myers and Corey Tropp are in the lineup. Myers was scratched for one game, but he'll be given a chance to get back in the good graces of the coaching staff this evening. Marc-Andre Gragani will sit in place of Myers. Tropp was called up from Rochester to replace Cody McCormick, who got hurt on Monday. Buffalo's starting goaltender will be Jhonas Enroth.
As usual, you can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times, namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic, and keep them legal (read: no illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests for one). Go Devils!
