New Jersey Devils at Phoenix Coyotes - Gamethread #8

The Time: 10:00 PM EDT

The Broadcast: TV - MSG+; Radio - 660 AM WFAN

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (4-2-1) at the Phoenix Coyotes (3-3-2)

The Previews: My preview from way earlier this morning is right here. As for a point of view from the opposition, Dave Vest has this preview up at the Coyotes' official website. For a non-team opinion, please check out Five for Howling.

A Song for a Late Night: This is the title track from Arizona-based thrashers Flotsam & Jetsam's second album: "No Place for Disgrace." Fitting.

Gameday Info: Ryan Carter actually did make it down to Phoenix. As reported by Tom Gulitti earlier today at Fire & Ice, he will play tonight on the fourth line in place of Rod Pelley. Carter is expected to be the center, so Brad Mills will move to the left wing. Per Vest's preview at the team's website, Mike Smith will be the starting goaltender and head coach Dave Tippett has mixed up his lines a little bit; such as to line Shane Doan up with Mikkel Boedker and Andy Miele.

You can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times, namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic, and keep them legal (read: no illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests for one). Go Devils!
