The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (2-1-0) at the Nashville Predators (2-1-0)
The Previews: My preview from earlier this morning is right here. For the opposition's take on tonight's game, please check out Marc Torrance's preview at On the Forecheck.
A Song for Tonight: Nashville is a city with a rather deep music history. Instead, I choose to find a song based on the team's nickname. I found this: GET TO THE CHOPPA!!!!!
Gameday Info: Tom Gulitti reported earlier today that the Devils called up Keith Kinkaid to back up Johan Hedberg tonight. Also, Gulitti also reported that Eric Boulton will enter the lineup and Rod Pelley will be scratched tonight. Yep, the fourth line will be Boulton, Brad Mills, and Cam Janssen. I don't know whether that means Ilya Kovalchuk will be double-shifted constantly, or that the Devils' fourth line will stay together and make Devils fans hope they don't rack up PIMs like candy. As for the Predators, Josh Cooper at the Tennessean reported that Patric Hornqvist is a gametime decision. I would think his return would give a boost to the team's forwards; but it's still up in the air.
