The Time: 7:30 PM EST
The Broadcast: TV - MSG+(HD); Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (11-29-2) at the Tampa Bay Lightning (26-13-5)
The Previews: My preview from way early this morning can be found right here. As for the opposition's perspective, John Fontana has this preview at Raw Charge. He notes that the Lightning power play has been struggling as of late. Fine, but I'm still wary of the group if only because of Stamkos & St. Louis.
Gameday Info: While the New Jersey Devils didn't skate as a team this morning, Tom Gulitti reported this morning at Fire & Ice that it doesn't seem likely that Mattias Tedenby will be in the lineup and that Anssi Salmela has cleared waivers. The latter isn't surprising; the former is. I understand that Tedenby may need to work on his defense, but is it really worse than Adam Mair's? Or Nick Palmieri's?
Granted, that the Devils put up some goals without him undercuts the need to have him in there. Oh well.
|2010 - Dwayne Roloson||24||1416||9||14||59||2.50||741||682||.920||2|
In any case, Gulitti also confirmed in the same post that the Devils will get Dwayne Roloson in net tonight. As his save percentage shows, he does not have #DanEllisProblems.
A Song for Tonight: With two games in Florida, it is only appropriate to use the legendary music of the late Chuck Schuldiner, the main man behind Death. From the classic 1995 album Symbolic, this is 1,000 Eyes.
Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in this game. Focus should be on the Devils-Lightning game. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant, and legal. If you want to be negative; fine, but do be rational as nobody needs any nonsense from anyone. Go Devils!
