Patrik Elias has been named to the 2011 NHL All-Star team as the New Jersey Devils representative. This will be Elias 3rd all-star game, and his first one since the 2001-2002 season. Elias is the Devils leading scorer with 30 points. While some say that the Devils shouldn't be represented due to their terrible season (Thanks, MacLean), Elias has been one of the few Devils forwards actually producing- he leads the team with 30 points, 21 assists, 5 powerplay goals and is 2nd on the team with 9 goals. Also somewhat impressive- how he's only managed 4 Penalty minutes in 41 games.
Congratulations Patrik, and enjoy Raleigh.
