Today's possibly the last day of the Ilya Kovalchuk saga: According to Dan Rosen from NHL.com, arbitrator Richard Bloch's decision on the Ilya Kovalchuk grievance will be due at the end of business today, which likely means around 5 or 6 PM EDT tonight (UPDATE: Tom Gulitti says that it's 5 PM, or 17:00)is the latest the decision can be made. Keep in mind that that's the latest that the verdict will be in, it can come in earlier as well. With all this in mind, this post will serve as an open thread. If there's any news, please post them in the comments with a link (If you need a link to a tweet, click on the timestamp). Anything from Gulitti, Chere, Dmitry Chesnokov, NHL insiders (i.e. Pierre LeBrun, Bob McKenzie) is fine. Anything from Eklund is not. Remember to keep all dialogue clean if possible. In the meantime, Intent to Blow takes a look at one of the possible outcomes of the Kovalchuk saga (note on the ITB post: IT'S NOT REAL!).
