About an hour ago, the Devils released their schedule for the 2010-2011 season (reported earlier via user C.J.Richey121). Here are some of the potential highlights and notable dates in the 2010-11 schedule

October 8th, 2010: New Jersey Devils Home Opener against the Dallas Stars.

October 9th, 2010: The Devils visit conference rival Washington Capitals and have the chance to ruin their Home opener.

October 11th, 2010: Sidney Crosby and the Penguins visit the Devils. However, this is only important to TSN and Versus, as it has to deal with the Penguins.

October 24th, 2010: The New Jersey Devils visit our hated Rivals, the New York Rangers to kick off a season long road trip that takes them to the west coast. Teams faced include the Sharks, Ducks, Kings, Canucks and Reigning Cup champions Chicago.

November 27th, 2010: Our hated Rivals from Philadelphia face us for the first time since they upset us in the first round.

December 17th, 2010: The recently acquired Jason Arnott will have to face his former team, The Nashville Predators, but in the friendly confines of the rock.

December 23rd, 2010: The Devils kick off their longest homestand of the season: Four games, against the Isles, Maple Leafs, Rangers and Thrashers

March 17th, 2011: Devils are on the road this St. Patrick's day against the Senators, unlike the last two years.

March 20th, 2011: Devils kick off a tough 4 game road trip against the Blue Jackets, Bruins, Penguins and Sabres.

April 9th, 2011: Penultimate game of the season, and a massive game against our hated rivals

April 10th, 2011: Regular season finale against the Boston Bruins

Western Conference "Wild Card" teams (WC teams faced twice instead of once): San Jose Sharks (October 27, 2010 and Februrary 11, 2011), Dallas Stars (October 8, 2010 and February 22, 2011), Detroit Red Wings (December 11, 2010 and January 1st, 2011).

Games in Canada: October 21, 2010 vs the Canadiens, November 1, 2010 vs the Canucks, November 18, 2010 vs the Leafs, December 10, 2010 vs the Senators, February 6, 2010 vs the Canadiens, February 10, 2011 vs the Maple Leafs and March 17, 2011 vs the Senators

Other News: Former Devil great Scott Niedermayer is expected to be calling it quits. If you want to talk about Niedermayer's retirement more, i'd suggest visiting Anaheim Calling or Battle of California or on this fanshot by C.J.Richey121.
