New Jersey Devils vs. Montreal Canadiens - Gamethread #25

The Time: 7:00 PM EST

The Broadcast: TV: RDS(HD), MSG PLUS(HD); Radio - 660 AM WFAN

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (8-14-2) vs. the Montreal Canadiens (15-8-2)

The Previews: Kevin wrote the preview that went up way earlier this morning, check it out here. For the Montreal side, please check out Habs Eyes on the Prize for a gamethread.

The Shill Pt. 1: ILWT user cherno77 is also a director. He recently released a 47-minute video called Hockey in the USA-Part 1. The film features former ILWT writer Steve Lepore, Mike Gilfilian of the New Jersey Devils, the Hockey in Newark program and so much more about the game in the Northeast of the country. Find out more details here as written by Cherno77, or go right to Backyard Hockey to check it out.

The Shill Pt. 2: Greg Wyshynski of Puck Daddy is having a watch party in NYC tomorrow. If you're over 21, if you're in the area, and if you don't mind watching a New York Rangers-New York Islanders game in the background, then head on over to The Irish Times in Manhattan and hang out with Wyshynski (who will also be hoping for a lot of pain as he is also a Devils fan), Sean Leahy, and Ryan Lambert. I might even be there because, well, I don't have anything else planned tomorrow night. Details are here in case you need directions or have any questions.

Gameday Info: Tom Gulitti reported earlier today on Fire & Ice that Jamie Langenbrunner and Matthew Corrente will play, while Alexander Vasyunov and Olivier Magnan-Grenier will sit. For the Montreal side, Dave Stubbs reported at Habs Inside/Out that defenseman P.K. Subban is expected to be scratched.

A Song for Tonight: I feel like something a little dance-y tonight. Fortunately, there's a group from the Montreal that does just that with their sound: Chromeo. The song is "Fancy Footwork" from the album of the same title.

Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in today's game and other NHL scores, but keep the conversation mostly on the Devils and Canadiens game tonight. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant, and legal. If you want to be negative; fine, but be rational. Most importantly: Let's go, Devils.
