New Jersey Devils vs. Calgary Flames - Gamethread #22

The Time: 7:30 PM EST

The Broadcast: TV - MSG+2 (really); Radio - 660 AM WFAN

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (6-13-2) vs. the Calgary Flames (8-11-1)

The Previews: My preview from way early in the morning is right here. For the other side, Matchsticks and Gasoline will have a Gamethread up soon enough. Should you need a preview from a Calgary perspective, Kent Wilson has this post about the Devils at Flames Nation. Pay attention to his final point in it.

A Devils Promotion Buy Buy Buy: Someone in the New Jersey Devils organization emailed me today to tell you all about a promotion they're running on Black Friday. Full details here at the official site. If you're planning to buy someone some Devils tickets - be it for a single game, a small package, or even season tickets - Friday would be a good day to do it so you can take advantage of the deal. Disclosure: I receive nothing from this, other than another reminder that the Devils read the third best Devils blog on the Internet.

Gameday Info: Tom Gulitti confirmed this morning that Anton Volchenkov is perfectly fine and the Devils will run the same lineup we saw on Monday. Yay. As for the Flames, I was wrong in my preview. Olli Jokinen is eligible to play tonight. According to Vicki Hall of the Calgary Herald, Jokinen is expected to center Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay. From the same article, Robyn Regher will play tonight.

A Song for Tonight: They aren't from Calgary, they are from Germany and they're bringing some speed. It's legendary thrash band Kreator with the song "Betrayer." If only for the line: "Your word isn't worth more than puke in the dust."

Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in tonight's game. It's OK to mention other NHL scores, but keep the conversation mostly on the Devils-Flames game tonight. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant, and legal. If you want to be negative; fine, but be rational. Most importantly: Let's go, Devils. Please build on Monday's win.
