The Time: 7:00 PM EST
The Broadcast: TV - MSG+(HD); Radio - 660 AM WFAN
The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (5-10-2) at the Boston Bruins (8-4-2)
The Previews: My preview from overnight can be found here. For the other side, Phunwin of Stanley Cup of Chowder has this preview right here.
Something to Look For: The Colin Campbell emails (warning: profane, calls Marc Savard a faker) published by Tyler Dellow at mc79hockey has sparked a lot of interest today. Since Tyler's site is overrun right now, Greg Wyshynski's first post on the issue suffices as a good summary. In the interest of fairness, Colin Campbell and the league did respond this afternoon, also reported here at Puck Daddy. Why is it relevant to this game? Greg Campbell is a Bruin. I'm not saying the refs will be biased, but if there are a bunch of calls on New Jersey because someone breathed on Greg the wrong way tonight, then we have some basis to complain.
Gameday Info: In non-comprising news, Rich Chere reported this afternoon that Matthew Corrente will be in the lineup in place of Matt Taormina tonight, Olivier Magnan-Grenier will play, and Martin Brodeur will start. As for the Bruins, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe has this projected lineup with Tim Thomas starting in net.
A Song for Tonight: Will the Devils win a second game in a row? To quote the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, "Someday, I Suppose."
Please use this Gamethread to discuss what's going on in tonight's game. It's OK to mention other NHL scores, but keep the conversation mostly on the Devils-Bruins game tonight. As always, please keep your comments clean, relevant, and legal. Most importantly: Let's Go Devils!
