Last night, history was made. And it was fantastic. The reactions are still coming out, Josh's thoughts at 2MA and Gulitti's recollection are great ones to check out. I found a few videos that perfectly illustrate the game's atmosphere, I'll throw them up as a FanShot shortly. So if you weren't at the Rock, you can see and hear what it was like. (P.S. The Division Snapshot will be done tomorrow)
Tonight, the Devils need to avoid the big letdown against a team that truly needs this win. Two changes are in order for the Devils. Tom Gulitti confirmed that Kevin Weekes will start tonight and Andy Greene will get to play in replacing Colin White.
Colin White is out with a "lower body injury." This could mean anything from a bruise to White having his legs unfortunately amputated. We just don't know. Given that Niclas Havelid has fit in pretty well on defense after that awful Islanders game, I don't think the loss of White will be a massive one tonight.
Bubba has the Canes-centric preview of tonight's game. He says Carolina needs to be wary of Zach Parise, Patrik Elias, Travis Zajac, and Jamie Langenbrunner. Lost in last night's glories, Langenbrunner achieved career highs in goals and points. From Chere's 3 things to watch out for tonight, and this surprised me, Langenbrunner has 9 game scoring streak. Bubba's right on for noting Langenbrunner. The captain is on fire!
Here are your starters for tonight's game:
