Wow, wow, WOW. A quickfire double in the first period, an instant response to a fluky Andy Hilbert goal, a shorthanded goal in a goalmouth scrum on a delayed call, and a Paul Martin bomb on a 5-on-3 power play to put the exclamation point on a excellent night for the Devils. Goals from different people, Zach Parise, Jamie Langenbrunner, and Patrik Elias the most proficient in helping them get there. The special teams by the Devils were excellent, the overall play save for some stretches in second was excellent, and the win was a just result for the Devils. Aside to Dom, if that was the Islanders' Overspeed in action, then let me say that I wasn't impressed. Maybe they didn't play it for some reason? Oh well, maybe they'll do it on January 17.
