NHL.com Recap & Stats: Devils 3 - Florida 1
The New Jersey Devils get their first regulation win since Martin Brodeur went down on November 1, 2008 with a solid 3-1 win over the Panthers. While the offenses of both teams featured a lot of blocked shots, missed shots, and plays going awry. The Devils looked good to start, didn't look too good in the second but Patrik Elias (who played an excellent game) slotted in a nice goal on the team's only shot on net, and they put the game out of doubt in the third. All three goals were wonderful plays and I highly recommend checking out the video of each on at NHL.com. While I would have liked the Devils to be more aggressive and effective on offense, they got the job done and picked up a crucial 2 points. The Islanders await! P.S. Based on performance, Scott Clemmensen is the starter. He may not start tomorrow, but I think he should be #1 based on his recent play.
